A quiet day on the Camino

Today we walked 17+ km from Itera to Poblacion de Campus. A chilly morning start but then the temperature got up to 24c. Much of the landscape was a bit like the Canterbury Plains in summer, newly harvested fields with big irrigation systems. We walked alongside a canal that provides water via sluices and chanels to the fields. Stopped for a second breakfast at Boadilla de Camino, long cold juice at Fromista then another 3km to our stop for the night. We are spoilt tonight, staying in a small rural hotel. We have our own room with a bathroom, this is a real treat. When we arrived the owner immediately offered us a sangria! Accommodation is getting harder to find so we need to book in advance. Staying in the albergues is great, but I am certainly enjoying tonight's peace and quiet. Not all pilgrims are considerate when they get up at 5am. We had noisy American and Aussie room companions this morning.#iamhope #georgiascamino
