Jay, Jelly, and Jose.
Jay got to sleep in this morning until 8.30am! A very happy Jay. Instead of walking to Tomar we decided to take advantage of where we are to deviate to Fatima, therefore a later start to the day. Breakfast in Fatima was delicious, the most delicious brioche and croissants. A happy Jay! We wandered around the main area along with thousands of others. it was interesting to see people of different faith traditions praying in the basilica. As others have noted before, the atmosphere is spoilt by all the souvenir shops. I did manage a prayer or 3 for family, Marcus, and a new bishop. Norbet, who drove us to Tomar gave us an interesting history of Fatima and its Muslim links. We arrived in Tomar about 2pm. The town is getting ready for a parade tomorrow, so it's good we have 2 days here. At lunch Jay met and fed Jose, and a giant Daisy. A quick around the village, exploring the shops specializing in medieval knight Templar merchandise. Jay's latest go too food is jelly.
Lyn Smith there are some photos of interest for you.
